From Four to Six

Well things have been changing quickly around our house.  Our big news is this...

Yep, we are doubling our kid count and expecting TWINS (2 boys to be exact)!   We were surprised with the news of this pregnancy being twins but are beyond excited for these two new additions to our family.   There has been lots of morning sickness but that is finally going away and now it's just battling feeling tired all the time.  I can't tell at this point that there are two babies in there moving around, except that I'm showing way more then I was with one and I actually feel like I can feel my stomach growing.  The other night my stomach so tight and it felt like my skin was just being stretched, a weird and uncomfortable feeling that I never had with our first two.

Between keeping up with the two kids and trying to keep our house in order there isn't much that really gets done quickly around here these days.  Tyler is great at helping out and we have simply decided we don't mind living with a little chaos and mess.  It's only gonna get crazier around here with 4 kids age 5 and under (3 who will be under the age of 2) right?

Anyway, this is what has been keeping us so busy the past few months.    Lots of changes taking place for our family in the months to come.  The 2 new boys are due to arrive sometime in June and then shortly after their arrival Neal will be starting kindergarten so life will look quite different here this summer.  Plus Gwendolyn and I are gonna have to stick together since we will be out numbered with all the boys in the house.

We are praising the Lord for his abundant blessings and the gifts of these new kids and we look forward to embracing whatever lies ahead for us as we transition from a family of 4 to a family of 6.

Happy New Year!   2015 is already underway and once again it is hard to believe another year has come and gone.

It's been awhile since we last updated this blog and that is just 'cause life seems to be busy, as always. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas here in NC.  We enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with some close friends from church and then had a quite and wonderful Christmas celebration with just the four of us here at home.

It is different being apart from family during the holidays but we have enjoyed the opportunity to create our own traditions and enjoy the family time as we quietly celebrate the holidays here at home. We love that we have the chance to Skype with all our family over Christmas and share in the joy of the Holidays a little together.

There is so much that we did the last few months that's it hard to write it all down so I'll mostly let pictures share about our time.  

Right before Thanksgiving we got to see Gigi and Grandfather who came down to TN for a few days, along with lots of our TN family...we loved our time together.  

Gwendolyn was so fun to see this Christmas and Neal was eager to help her open any and all of her gifts, she didn't mind.  

A few holiday traditions we have started here are a Christmas puzzle the week leading up to Christmas, new jammies to wear Christmas eve and sleeping under the tree and watching a Christmas movie. 

Merry Christmas and Happy new year!  We hope your holidays were filled with lots of great memories, friends and family.  (This was the Christmas of superhero shirts for our family, Neal was thrilled to be able to pick out a superhero shirt for both Tyler and I as his gift to us)
