A Good Book

There is nothing like a good book right?

Earlier this year, like in January, I had decided that I wanted to do more reading. My goal was to read at least 6 new books by the end of the year. I know that doesn't sound like much, but with a toddler running around finding a quite moment to read is harder then you think. I have found some really fun and great books this year. I owe most of the credit for these book to my mom, she recommended and gave me three of them (thanks mom!).

My favorite book above is "Loving the LIttle Years". This book was encouraging and challenging to me as a mom. The author has a great way of writing about her experience as a mom to 5 young children and give some practical challenges and applications on how to live as a godly example for your children and reminds you, the reader, the calling that is yours as a mom. Plus she has lots of great stories to illustrate along the way. I highly recommend to anyone who is a mom, especially if you are in the midst of those "little years".

The current book I am reading and really enjoying...(thanks again to my mom)

The book takes place in Seattle, where I grew up, so it is even more fun to read since I recognize a lot of the places they talk about. I am halfway through the book and have to say I look forward to Neal's afternoon nap time when I can sit down with a cup of coffee and read.
